Search engines

The "Allow search engines to crawl this website" option allows (or disallows) search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) to index and display your site in search.

If you want your site to disappear from the search engines, besides the ban here, you have to wait for the search engines to "forget" about it. This can take weeks or months depending entirely on the specific search engine.
